  • Funeral home employees and staff use our voice agent and related services (“Services”);
     
  • Funeral homes subscribe to or manage accounts with us;
     
  • Users access our websites, including https://miraven.com (the “Site”); and
     
  • Users access our mobile applications (the “App”), including versions distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
     

Our Services are designed for funeral homes and their employees, not for the general public or consumer marketing.

By using our Site, App, or Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site, App, or Services.


Types of Information We Collect

Below are examples of the types of information we collect and why we collect it.


Account Registration

  • What we collect:
    Name, email address, business contact information, role/title, funeral home or company affiliation, login credentials, and related account details.
     
  • Why we collect it:
    We have a legitimate interest in maintaining and administering user accounts and providing access to our Services.
     

Subscriber and Customer Information

  • What we collect:
    Contact details of subscribers (e.g., funeral home owners, managers, administrators) and, where applicable, their employees or authorized users.
     
  • Why we collect it:
    We have a legitimate interest in communicating with subscribers about onboarding, account management, billing, product updates, and support.
     

Voice Agent and Call Data

Because our Services include a voice agent for funeral homes, we may collect:


  • Call metadata:
    Phone numbers involved in the call (caller and recipient), date and time of the call, duration, routing information, and associated funeral home.
     
  • Call recordings and transcripts (where permitted by law):
    Audio recordings and text transcripts of calls to enable call handling, quality assurance, training, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
     
  • User input to the voice agent:
    Menu selections, spoken or typed responses, and other interaction data with the voice agent or IVR.
     

We have a legitimate interest in operating, improving, and securing our voice agent Services, and in supporting our funeral home clients.


SMS/Text Messaging (Funeral Home Employees Only)

Our platform may send SMS/text messages only to funeral home employees or other authorized staff, not to funeral home customers or the general public.

    Employee phone numbers, message content, timestamps, delivery and read status, and related metadata.
     
  • Why we collect it:
    We use this information to provide non-marketing, operational communications, such as shift or schedule notifications, internal alerts, or other work-related messages.
     

We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.


Payments and Billing

    Name, billing address, email address, phone number, payment method details (e.g., partial card details as allowed), and transaction information when a funeral home subscribes to our Services.
     
  • Why we collect it:
    We use this information to perform our contract with our subscribers and manage billing and payment processing.
     

Website and App Interactions

    When you visit our Site or use our App, we may collect information such as:

  • To create and manage accounts for funeral homes and their employees;

  • To personalize aspects of the Site or App based on user preferences;

SMS/Text Messaging Program and A2P 10DLC Compliance

Our SMS/text message program is designed for business-to-business communications with funeral home employees and authorized staff. It is not used for consumer marketing.


How You May Receive Messages


You may receive text messages if:


  • Your employer (the funeral home or related organization) provides your phone number to us in connection with your role;
     
  • You provide your phone number directly to us or through the App or Site and consent to receive messages; or
     
  • You interact with our Services in a way that reasonably requires us to send you operational messages (for example, verification or security alerts).
     

Types of Messages


Messages may include:

  • Operational or account-related notifications;
     
  • Internal alerts or status updates;
     
  • Scheduling or workflow-related messages;
     
  • Security, authentication, or support-related notifications.
     

We do not send promotional or marketing SMS messages to funeral home customers or the general public through this program.


Opting Out (STOP)


You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from our program at any time by replying:

  • “STOP” to any message you receive from us.
     

After you send STOP, you may receive one last message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After that, you will no longer receive messages from that program, unless you opt back in or your employer re-enrolls you where permitted.

Message Frequency and Charges


Message frequency will vary based on your employer’s use of the Services.
Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. You are responsible for any such charges.


Use and Sharing of Phone Numbers


We use phone numbers solely to provide the Services, including internal communications on behalf of funeral homes. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.


Sharing of Information

We may share personal information in the following situations:


  1. With Funeral Homes (Your Employer or Client Organization)
    When you use our Services in connection with a funeral home, we share relevant information with that funeral home and its authorized personnel, such as:
     
    • Call logs, recordings, and transcripts (where permitted by law);
       
    • Message content and related metadata;
       
    • Account information for users that the funeral home has authorized.
       

  1. Service Providers
    We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:
     
    • Telecommunications and SMS providers;
